Boundaries: they force you to respond. Maybe a quick glance and a side-step. Maybe a deliberate move through the space. Maybe a direct engagement with it, or taking it as your own. However you respond, it doesn't really matter. There's no telling what goes on in the mind of each passer-by, and that's fine too.
Boundaries are just one way to create an encounter - an engagement. Subtle. Admittedly silly.
